I woke up in the middle of the night on Monday (/Tuesday morning) with some nasal congestion and a sore throat. Thinking it was my regular post-nasal-drip-type sore throat, I got out of bed, took a decongestant and went back to sleep.
But things only got worse from there.

It seems a script has been written for a film based on the TV show 24. It may not be for sure, though. IMDB indicates that Kiefer Sutherland is “in talks”.

I’m proud of Tom for doing the right thing. He may be a weasel, but he’s no murderer. Carson and Chad Lowe, on the other hand, are morons for letting him go. The look on their faces when Tom turned on them was priceless.

This novel was published after the Chilean-Mexican author's death, and I'm not even sure if it was entirely finished or not. It is broken up into five parts which, while connected, stand pretty much on there own. I have not yet made it to the grim part about the murders of hundreds of women in Mexico, so I have so far found it enjoyable and even funny despite some dark underpinnings. It's had a ton of critical praise, and I like it much more than my last foray into the violent novel genre: Blood Meridian.
Been listening to this one a lot, pretty much the whole way through.
