POM Tea Contest Results

The winners of the POM Tea Video Contest were announced last night around 9pm. I’m pleased to announce that Winston and I finished in 2nd place.

What I’m Reading

I’m currently reading Hilter’s Scientists: Science, War, and the Devil’s Pact by John Cornwell. The book tackles extremely important issues regarding the role of scientists within a society and their political and moral obligations. I found myself thinking that the introduction alone would have made a fantastic reading assignment in my undergraduate engineering ethics courses.

Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

Don’t believe the skeptics! CFLs are a wise purchase: they save money and energy, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and they’re safe, too! Oh, and they even look better than regular incandescent bulbs. You should buy them. Seriously.
