I’ve been away for a while, but not without good reason: Emily and I got married on June 21st. I realize that was only two weeks ago, and I haven’t posted since long before that, but the thing about weddings is that they take a lot of planning. So believe me when I say that I was busy.
As Jennifer has said, it was a success as evidenced by the fact that Emily and I are now married. It was a lovely affair and we were very fortunate that so many of our friends and family were willing to come to Charlottesville to experience it with us.
With so much that has gone on, I have a lot of updates to post, so look out for some pictures and what not in the near future. In the meantime, I’ll have to finish unpacking from my recent move (add that to the list of reasons I haven’t posted, by the way), and getting back to work at school; I will squeeze in a post here and there when I get the chance.
Been listening to this one a lot, pretty much the whole way through.
This novel was published after the Chilean-Mexican author's death, and I'm not even sure if it was entirely finished or not. It is broken up into five parts which, while connected, stand pretty much on there own. I have not yet made it to the grim part about the murders of hundreds of women in Mexico, so I have so far found it enjoyable and even funny despite some dark underpinnings. It's had a ton of critical praise, and I like it much more than my last foray into the violent novel genre: Blood Meridian.

Husband! Daah! I’m still getting used to it, for you and for Lindsay (the fact that she has one). Looking forward to reading your blogs about your travels and adventures in homebrewing, etc. One of these days I’ll get mine back in gear…
Weird, isn’t it? Emily and I still think it sounds strange.
I, too, look forward to my adventures in homebrewing – I just need a weekend where I don’t have something else to do, so I can get started.
