Google Enters the Web Browser Arena With Chrome

Only a couple of hours ago, Google launched its very own web browser, GoogleChrome.

The launch was not a complete surprise as Google accidently hit the “send” button a little early on part of its comic explaining the creation of the new browser.

What’s With Silverlight?

I thought it would be nice to watch the Democratic National Convention tonight, and since I don’t have TV I went to the DNC webpage where I hoped to watch it live online.

Luckily, they were streaming the Convention live!

Unluckily, I had to install a Microsoft Silverlight plugin to watch it.

Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

Don’t believe the skeptics! CFLs are a wise purchase: they save money and energy, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and they’re safe, too! Oh, and they even look better than regular incandescent bulbs. You should buy them. Seriously.

Inventions of the Year

I don’t know if the “invention of the year” deserves its title (cool though it may be), but some of the other inventions on here are really incredible. I especially like the “Cars & Buses”, “Law & Order”, and “Environment” categories.
